Chennai Bienalle: Portraits of Flowers

Film photographs captured as part of the 'FORGET GOLD – INVEST IN WATER' program, displayed at the Chennai Photo Bienalle Exhibition 2019, Chintadripet, Chennai, India.

FORGET GOLD – INVEST IN WATER was developed by Allan Parker as a Srishti Interim Project at the end of 2018, together with artist and facilitator Chinar Shah. Allan Forrester Parker studied at The University of Reading (Fine Art ) and at Central Saint Martins in London. Previously a senior fractional lecturer (practice) on the MA and BA in Photography at the University of Westminster in London, he is also a visiting Lecturer at Srishti School of Art, Design & Technology (Bangalore, India). Allan established a publishing imprint
PURE LAND PRESS in 2010 to produce artists books, multiples and exhibitions. Chinar Shah is a visual artist based in Bangalore. She too is a faculty member at Srishti. She has co-edited an academic publication, Photography in India: From Archives to Contemporary Practice,2018, Bloomsbury, UK. She runs an apartment gallery called Home Sweet Home.
